This is a great workout routine. I prefer a more non linear approach with less lifting. Ive been doing boxing routines ie speed bag, heavy bag, knee lifts, shadowboxing, spin bike. in 3, 10 min super sets. This is good for intensity and it will help against the stiff lower back many cyclists get over months of riding, as there is more torsional activation of the core. The hand speed you gain also helps bike handling (not as good as pumptracking, but it still helps) I also swim twice a week for cardio and to keep resting heart rate down while keeping the impact off my joints. Just an alternate way of thinking. Great article, James.

This guy has been a major influence for me and all my friends, if you dont like the segment then fast fwd, the teaser has his name on it, let us, his fans, judge it before an opinionated ass such as yourself, comes around and talks smack about a short amount of footage in his amazing catalog of film. This is a reminder that the Bourdos and benders still have a following among mountain bikers. and as riders we understand the dedication it takes to vanquish a trail or jump that continuously buck you off the saddle. dont be so negative. olskooljake just read your comment before posting and I think its hilarious we said the same thing, just in totally different ways.

Its a great pic. remember fools its a mountain biking website and the POD is about the celebration of the sport, not the pic itself, go to photodouchebag.com if you guys want to cry about the photo selection. and yeah canada is a great sidekick, USA!!!

hey bmxerch you are a serious d-bag. you go off on how hard you ride then get mad when everyone points out that you are talking to a contest winner that rode the bike to victory. Get over yourself. I get free stuff too so am I a "sponsored" rider? does my opinion count now? Im over 200lbs and I guess I ride "hard" but I would trust it. its called flow ya douche, get some. , grow up, its a bike thats funky and you can rip it all the way to the top of the podium. and who the hell is breaking their bikes in a week? you need to learn how to ride. and you can tell me how awesome you are and everything, I dont care, stay focused on your ride, and dont ride out of your ability level and maybe you wont wreck and break your shit in a week. dumbass.

thanks for the info Dave. I asked HH for a couple riding jackets, SUCH AS the Charger or possibly Vancouver jackets. They sent both, so I guess they're not sure what 'riding' jackets means. These are good, but you're right, for non-waterproof and a bit softer the Rapide looks great. Hopefully meet you in May! --Brad

I have heard that kona ride well but i've also heard thats to there lack of privots that they lack in proformance, still they are good starter bikes and if the price was as cheap over hear as you get them i probably would have a cowan
